Breton, a versatile Italian manufacturer since 1963

TLDR: Breton S.p.A. (Castello di Godego, Italy, founded in 1963 by Marcello Toncelli) designs machinery for working natural and reconstituted stone, ceramic materials, and high-speed CNC machining centres for metals and composites, with a global presence.

Founded in 1963 in Castello di Godego, Breton has grown across two complementary markets: equipment for working natural stone, reconstituted stone and ceramics (gantry milling machines, profile-cutting machines, disc and waterjet cutting centres), and high-speed machining centres for the metalworking and composites industries. On this second segment, the range covers modular gantry vertical machining centres (Eagle, Flymill), monobloc gantry centres (Matrix), rotary-tilting table centres (Ultrix), and solutions dedicated to aerostructures and mould-making (Raptor), designed for high-speed milling of complex parts in steel, light alloy, superalloy, resin or composite materials.

A range of modular heads and spindles for high-speed machining

TLDR: Breton machining centres offer numerous head and spindle combinations depending on the application, with a Z-axis travel ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 mm on modular models, suited to high-speed machining of light alloys, resins and composites.

On the gantry machining centres of the Eagle range, the wide flexibility of travels (Z-axis from 1,000 to 2,500 mm) is combined with numerous possible head and spindle combinations, allowing a broad range of operations across every sector. The Matrix E1 centres, with a monobloc gantry structure, are designed for milling parts in steel, light alloy or special composite materials with high dynamics and precision. On the stone segment, the 5-axis disc cutting centres feature a spindle able to hold up to four different tools mounted simultaneously (disc up to 700 mm, drill, profiling cutter, patented Kerasplit system for ceramics), with a design favouring high power and torque.

Frequently asked questions

Do you repair the multi-tool spindles of stone disc-cutting centres?

Yes, we work on these spindles, taking into account their system for mounting several tools simultaneously.

Do you work on the motor spindles of high-speed machining centres for composites and light alloys?

Yes, we diagnose and repair these spindles, whether from the Eagle, Matrix or Ultrix ranges.

What is the average lead time for a complete overhaul?

Allow around 20 working days in the workshop, depending on the condition of the spindle and the availability of parts (bearings, seals, specific components).

Do you work on the spindles of centres dedicated to aerostructures and moulds (Raptor range)?

Yes, we diagnose and repair these spindles, suited to machining medium to large parts in steel or light alloy.

Do you offer a preventive maintenance contract for a fleet of Breton machines?

Yes, we draw up preventive maintenance programmes tailored to your production pace, whatever the application sector (stone, composites, aerospace).

A reliable partner for your industrial performance

Whether it is an emergency on-site intervention, a full workshop overhaul or a preventive maintenance programme, Brochexpress brings its expertise to your production. As an independent workshop, we work across the entire Breton range — spindles and motor spindles for high-speed machining centres — with the responsiveness and rigour demanded by the most exacting industrial environments: stone, composites and aerospace.
