Hwacheon Hi-TECH series horizontal CNC lathes use an A2-6 nose spindle (or A2-8 depending on the model), with a standard speed of around 4,500 rpm for 15 to 18.5 kW, mounted on an exceptionally rigid structure guaranteeing reliability and ease of maintenance. On VT series vertical lathes, the spindle sits on a very rigid box-type feed structure, with an air-flotation system minimising thermal displacement even during long production runs. The spindle position can be selected in two configurations, left or right, a flexibility particularly suited to automated processing of brake discs, drums, hubs and valves in automotive production.
