Romi D line machining centres (D600, D760, D1500) use a BT40 interface spindle, with an automatic tool changer for 20 to 30 stations, a 20 hp drive and rotation speeds reaching 7,500 to 12,000 rpm depending on the model. The spindle shaft allows high, continuously variable speeds, guaranteeing excellent performance even under severe cutting conditions at full power. On M line lathes, dedicated to machining larger chucked parts, the spindle has a bore of up to 105 mm, with rotation speeds typically up to 1,800 rpm. The DCM 620-5X Hybrid 5-axis vertical machining centre also combines traditional machining and metal additive manufacturing on the same spindle.
