Schaublin spindle and motor spindle repair
Brochexpress is an independent workshop specialising in the repair, maintenance and diagnostics of Schaublin spindles and motor spindles — the century-old Swiss manufacturer from Delémont, a historic benchmark in precision lathes and universal milling machines, today extended to CNC machining centres.
Schaublin, more than a century of Swiss precision in the Jura Arc
TLDR: Schaublin Machines SA (Delémont, Swiss Jura, founded in the early twentieth century by Charles Schäublin and Emile Villeneuve) is a historic builder of high-precision lathes and universal milling machines, whose range today covers conventional lathes, CNC lathes and vertical machining centres.
Founded at the beginning of the last century by Charles Schäublin and Emile Villeneuve in the Bernese Jura, Schaublin built a reputation on an unwavering pursuit of accuracy, earning the trust of demanding customers worldwide. After an eventful history across different sites, the current company, Schaublin Machines SA, today produces and sells conventional lathes, CNC lathes and vertical machining centres.
A range of precision spindles, from the manual lathe to the high-speed machining centre
TLDR: Schaublin lathes use W20 or W25 taper spindles with integrated motors, with rotation speeds reaching 5,000 rpm on the historic models, while the series 48 CNC machining centres offer high-speed BT40/ISO40 spindles up to 12,000 rpm.
Schaublin precision lathes (series 70, 102, 125) use W20 or W25 taper spindles, with rotation speeds typically between 50 and 5,000 rpm depending on the model and generation. The 302 production lathe, available in W20 and W25 versions, has an integrated-motor spindle with optional pneumatic clamping. On the historic universal milling machines (series 13, 22, 53), the ISO 40 taper spindle offers two speed ranges, for example 58 to 375 rpm in the first range.
