Spinner spindle and motor spindle repair
Brochexpress is an independent workshop specialising in the repair, maintenance and diagnostics of Spinner spindles and motor spindles — a German manufacturer with more than 60 years of experience, known for its compact ultra-precision lathes and machining centres, distributed in France by Realmeca.
Spinner, more than 60 years of German expertise in ultra-precision
TLDR: Spinner Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik GmbH (Germany, more than 60 years of experience) is a builder recognised for its turning and milling machines, from simple CNC applications through to extreme precision machining, with lathes able to guarantee production tolerances below 5 µm in series.
For more than 60 years, Spinner has developed turning and milling machines covering a very broad spectrum: simple CNC applications, complex machines for high productivity, machines for ultra-high precision, standalone solutions for small batches and automated machines for volume production. TC range lathes, available in four sizes (TC300 to TC800L) and five turning lengths (400 to 1,500 mm), are built on rigid one-piece cast iron beds and large hardened, ground slideways. Universal machining centres in the U range (U5-1530, U1520) offer a compact simultaneous 5-axis configuration, with a swivelling rotary table, for machining complex shapes in a precision workshop.
A range of water-cooled motor spindles, from turning to 5-axis machining
TLDR: Spinner TC series lathes use powerful water-cooled motor spindles, while universal machining centres in the U series offer high spindle speeds in ISO 40 interface, reaching up to 20,000 rpm on the most dynamic configurations.
Spinner TC series CNC lathes (TC300 to TC800-110) use powerful water-cooled motor spindles, with a 1:4 transmission for high torque on the most robust models (TC 800-110), a radial turret able to take up to 32 tools on both sides for machining on two spindles, and VDI or BMT tool holders. On universal machining centres in the U range, the ISO 40 interface spindle can reach 20,000 rpm, with a tool magazine of up to 122 stations. On the very high precision micromechanics lathes (Microturn range), several spindle variants are offered with speeds up to 10,000 rpm and a maximum bar capacity of 52 mm, all of the integrated-motor type to limit sources of thermal and mechanical disturbance.
Spinner spindles covered (non-exhaustive list)
- Water-cooled motor spindles, TC series lathes, VDI/BMT
- ISO 40 spindles, U series universal machining centres, up to 20,000 rpm
- Integrated-motor spindles, Microturn range, up to 10,000 rpm
- Auxiliary spindles and sub-spindles on twin-spindle configurations
- Spindles of compact high-precision CNC lathes, PD series
Interfaces and specifications
The Spinner spindles and motor spindles we repair come in VDI/BMT interfaces on TC series lathes and ISO 40 on U series universal machining centres, with rotation speeds from 10,000 to 20,000 rpm depending on the range and application.

Frequently asked questions
Do you repair the water-cooled motor spindles of TC series lathes?
Yes, we work on these spindles, taking into account their specific cooling system.
Do you work on the ISO 40 spindles of U series universal machining centres (up to 20,000 rpm)?
Yes, we diagnose and repair these spindles, whatever the configured speed.
What is the average lead time for a full overhaul?
Allow around 20 working days in the workshop, depending on the condition of the spindle and the availability of parts (bearings, seals, specific components).
Do you work on the integrated-motor spindles of the Microturn micromechanics range?
Yes, we diagnose and repair these spindles, taking care to preserve their sub-micron accuracy.
Do you offer a preventive maintenance contract for a fleet of Spinner machines?
Yes, we draw up preventive maintenance programmes tailored to your production pace.
